New York State has lifted many of it's COVID restrictions, and for many people the pandemic seems to be over. Yet the practice of medical manual therapy (hands-on treatment in close proximity to you for prolonged periods of time- where your face could be within inches of your therapist's for up to 90 minutes) still warrants masking if you have ANY symptoms or recent exposures to anyone exhibiting any illness symptoms.
Please consider that my ability to treat patients and earn income means that I and all who come here need these protections honored.
The safety and comfort of *ALL* who enter this practice continues to be my #1 priority. As it was my practice prior to the pandemic- sanitization and continually running 2 HEPA air filters will remain part of my safety protocol.
Here are the current policies at Revivify to expect:
- Due to the proliferation of the COVID variants, as well as seasonal flus and common colds, every breathing body who wishes to receive manual therapy needs to consider wearing a face mask, except while lying prone (face-down). This is for prevention of my exposure as your therapist, where, again, I often spend 90 minutes in very close proximity to your face when I'm providing your healing touch. If I become infected, not only will I have exposed all others I've touched prior to developing symptoms myself- but my income is interrupted, and all those missed appointments interrupt and delay the progression of all the other patients' care.
- If you have any illness or symptoms that include gastro-intestinal or rashes, or have been in contact with anyone who may have been exposed or is sick, please postpone your appointment for 5 days AND you are symptom free.
- The 30 minutes that I have always added to your appointment is back to the standard additional time dedicated to each appointment booked on my calendar, which means I may not have as much time to socialize before/after your appointment with you as I did with the increased time between appointments during the Pandemic. Please understand and respect this!
- Always make every attempt to give me 24 hours notice before canceling your appointment for any reason. When you don't, its an extra cost of time and effort to scramble calls and texts to re-book that session or lose the income that was expected from your booked appointment. Consider that self-employed people do not get paid or sick time off when they do not work.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns, or call/text me to schedule an appointment
Thank you so much for all your patience & cooperation throughout these challenging times!
To ALL of our continued health!
